I am a teacher of computer science, mathematics, and engineering.
I am a data scientist, software engineer, developer, architect, and founder of an IT company.

I am currently serving as the Georgia CSTA Secretary (2014-current).

I am Georgia Mathematics certified, Georgia Business Education to teach Computer Science (and other courses) in Georgia, Georgia Engineering and Technology Education.
I am a Pennsylvania Professional (Level II) Certified 7-12 Mathematics Teacher
I tutor all levels of mathematics, SAT Math Prep, computer science, programming (almost all languages), robotics.
I was formerly the Vice President of the CSTA-Philly.

I was the lead engineering teacher at the Westside Pre-Engineering Magnet High School, Bibb County School District, Macon, GA.

I taught computer science at Howard High School, Bibb County School District, Macon, GA (Programming and Computing Teacher).   • 2011-2012: math teacher and computer science teacher.   • 2010-2011: Title I math coach and Mathematics Department Chair. I taught "Math Enrichment - Algebra" and "Math Enrichment - Geometry", using Saxon. For the Spring semester 2011, I started a Computer Science course (using the Processing language). Curriculum and Instruction Committee. Mentor for the PACE FIRST FRC Robotics team #3629 (Spring 2011) and PACE FIRST FTC Robotics team #4401 (Spring 2011).
  • 2009-2010: math coach (Title I Math Enrichment) and also taught "Practical Mathematics for Consumers" and also "Entrepreneurship." I formed a STEM group (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for MATE ROV [SDP link] [photos] (Marine Advanced Technology Education Center Remote Operated Vehicle). Incorporated Study Island-based activities into lessons.
  • 2008-2009: math coach. I initiated student-optional morning math tutoring, SES after school program (using the Plato (R) Learning Environment (TM), PRAXIS Math tutoring, and also math with ALEKS).

I am an Electrical Engineer (BS and MS) and a software developer/consultant/entrepreneur, from low-level firmware assembly to high-level abstract artificial intelligence and advanced visualization. I program and present in many languages.

I try to use technology to help with learning and teaching. Much of the Web 2.0 and Open Source enabling technologies that I use (and others I do not "yet" use) are at my Web 2.0 page.

I believe in life-long learning and I also do "it" as evident on my Education Events.
